Groovy Skincare Solutions: Our Story

As an avid lover of the outdoors, my heart belongs to the beach, surf, trails, and mountains. Whether running along the shoreline, hiking up scenic trails, or catching waves on my surfboard, the great outdoors is my sanctuary. However, my sensitive skin has always posed a challenge, often becoming red, inflamed, and irritated by sweat, moisture, and friction.

Like many others, I turned to common remedies like petrolatum jelly, zinc, and aloe, scouring pharmacy shelves for solutions. But nothing seemed to work effectively for my sensitive skin.

Fortunately as a Dermatology PA, I knew that these irritations were more complex, often triggered by multiple factors such as inflammation, fungal colonization, and skin barrier disruption. This realization sparked a mission within me to create a better solution.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, I embarked on a journey of extensive research, meticulously studying ingredients that could address each factor causing my skin irritations. After more than a year of trials and testing, I finally perfected the formula for my soothing cream. The result was beyond my expectations—a cream that provided real, lasting relief.

Soon after, word of my "magic cream" spread among friends and family, who began knocking on my door asking for their own supply. Their overwhelming positive feedback and encouragement led to the creation of Calm, and eventually, Groovy Skincare Solutions.

Groovy was born out of a passion for helping active women like myself stay comfortable and confident in their skin. Our brand is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of women who love the outdoors and lead active lifestyles.
